After the update I notice that when I receive an email I get the name of the sender with “do-not-reply@expat-therapist.com”. Usually when I click to reply, I would get the address of the sender but now I get only my own adddress: “info@expat-therapist.com”.
In these days I also migrated my website from a different host but I don’t think it is related.
Help! it is urgent I cannot reply to my clients!

Hi There,
When I submit the form the page reloads but in chrome, it is submitting using ajax. I am opening the form in modal if the page reloads then the modal is closed, which should not be the case.
Please let me know what can I do for the same.

Good afternoon. Recently, users have started complaining about the strange behavior of the form on my site. Odie write that the form does not send data because it does not see the filled “Date” and “Email” fields. Here is the link to the screenshot https://prnt.sc/gg4pg7
At the same time when I fill out the form, the data is sent without problems. What can cause such an error?
I tried to disable other plugins and changed the template to standard, it did not help

Hi,
I just found out that there is “Flamingo” to store Contact Form 7 data to the WordPress-database. That made me curious. I got a weather-station setup with it’s own MySQL-database and I need manual (and “easy”) adding of data-values(hence PHPmyAdmin is no use). I only need to add 3 fields: date, time and the actual data-value.
Does it sound like I could get this working with Contact Form 7?

I don’t see anything in documentation regard requirements of PHP version.
Is an Upgrade of PHP to verion 7.1.8 required to work with recent update?
We had sites imploding after the most recent update until we migrated sites to servers with upgraded from PHP Version 5.3.3 to PHP Version 7.1.8
All sites are running WordPress Version 4.8.1 and the migrated sites work.
It would be nice if an update would warn of this requirement instead of toasting the site.

on_sent_ok deprecation
I rely fully on the following to send the user to a specific page after submitting my CF7 form.
on_sent_ok: "location.replace('http://mydomain.org/payment/');"
I am not a programmer and the help page about the issue is beyond me. I advocated hard for this plugin and my website system. I really hope someone can tell me what to put into Additional Settings to achieve this functionality going forward.
I beg you not to give me theory; I am providing an exact need. (I’ll donate again if I get the solution and can keep using CF7.)
I am assuming this deprecation is coming because there is something better to use so I look forward to knowing what that is.

Sending via SMTP (AmazonSES).
Test email comes through fine but when submitting the form, I get the error:
There was an error trying to send your message. Please try again later.
Askimet – Not setup
comment blacklist – blank, nothing defined
nonce verification – I open a new browser window and fill the form & submit. Not sure if there is anything I need to do to ensure this verification succeeded.
Also, for future, is there a log which I can check to know the reason for failure?

Hi,
can you tell me how to force translate of required positions? I’m using polylang extension, so for each language I have diferent form (english, german etc.).
I am able to change telephone or name translation (just using diferent forom for german, english etc.) but CF7 add also “(*required)” in positions which are required but in all forms “(*required)” is in main WP language I have set in the settings of my page 🙁

There is an issue with your later versions. I have enabled a default theme and disabled all other plugins. If I use 4.8, 4.8.1 or 4.9 I have the spinning icon issue. If I go back to 4.7 all is fine.

Hi there, I’ve just read through your documentation and still can’t figure out why we are getting the error “Sender email address does not belong to the site domain”.
The from field in the mail tab is: [your-name] <[your-email]>
The form itself asks for: [text* your-name default:user_display_name readonly] and [email* your-email default_user_email readonly]
This WordPress install is on a closed network with no internet access so I am unable to share the admin panel with you, but I’m hoping you’ll be able to step me through what I’ve done wrong with the above snippets. Happy to provide more info if you need it.

Since I last updated Contact Form 7 my contact form stopped working. Anybody who tries to send the form gets an error saying the emil addresses don’t match, even when they do. I’m not seeing any validation errors in the admin panel. What can be going wrong?

Hi,
Since ContactForm 4.8 I’ve some issues. When submitting a form, the message for Sender’s message was sent successfully is not showing.
Before CF v.4.8 my forms where showing the sender’s message.
After doing some tests (deactivate plugins, default theme), the issue still persists. So the issue is ‘form-code’ related. Finally I’ve found the following code causes the issue:

I make a form for request return of pieces of car. I did it as textarea but it does not respect the line breaks in the emails that are sent to the client.
How can I add paragraph in each line break automatically?
For e.g.:
“I need return:
Front bumper
Rearview
Hubcap”
In the email to customer:
“I need return: Front bumper rearview hubcap”
This causes problems for the client to understand the requests
