Yes, I read through that carefully and now realize that after a major update, the WP reset login doesn't work. I applied the functions etc of that article you linked to and still not working.
The developer I'm working with feels there's a type of filter maybe that GoDaddy has applied to the hosted account.
Not looking forward to calling GoDaddy if I can help it. Is there any other options I have besides reinstalling WP which I've done twice.
