EndoraD on "[Plugin: Contact Form 7] Clear default value onFocus"

Hi,
We are using version 3.4.2 of this plugin and we need to clear the default field values when the inputs are clicked on. I found this old thread that explains how to do it, but it is for an old version, and the code is no longer applicable:

Does anyone have any updated instructions on how to add this functionality?
