I have moved my WordPress site to a new host and as a result my Contact Form 7 plugin does not want to work.
I get the following message in the settings area on the PlugIn:
This contact form contains CAPTCHA fields, but the temporary folder for the files (/home8/xxxx/public_html/wp-content/uploads/wpcf7_captcha) does not exist or is not writable. You can create the folder or change its permission manually.
So I have already changed the permissions and I am still not able to get it to corporate. My thinking is that the path that is in the plugin starting with home8 could be the problem since this was transferred to the new host.
The new mentioned that I should uninstall and reinstall the plugin, but I am not sure how to backup the data associated with this plugin so I don't have to recreate it and I am also unclear what will happen to the form on the page - will I have to tell WordPress to return it to the same place. As you can tell I am a bit green to the whole WordPress thing but am picking it up quick.
Any thoughts or ideas?
