Check the To field in the Mail section. It is used for the destination address. See Setting Up Mail.

Yes it did. I actually just found the solution by directly inserting the short code within the PHP page using echo do_shortcode('[contact-form-7 id="??" title="??"]'); Thanks for your help!

The resolution that I found for this was: 1. enable mail 2. 2. copy the <[your-email]> from the "To" field into mail 1. 3. test. This worked immediately for me. Hope it helps.
