Multi Step Form: Showing saved form data in next steps.

Regarding Multi Step Forms: Is it possible to display form field data from one ‘step’ on a latter ‘step’in a manner similar to the delivery email setup?

I would like to provide a final review step, that displays all form data from previous steps

This is the code I have tried to use within a form, and that does not work.

Added space at top of body

Hi,

In combination with Contact Form 7 I use WP Email Template PRO and Mail Bank Business Edition.
Since the last version I get an additional space above the content of the body in the E-mail that is sent. Changing the HTML markup of the first line also doesn’t make any difference.
Like: <h2>Hello [name],</h2> OR <p>Hello [name],</p>
Both give the same result.

If you fill out the form you will get a conformation which shows the behaviour.

When sending a test E-mail from Mail Bank Business Edition the space isn’t there, so my guess is that it is caused by Contact Form 7.

What can be done about this?

file attachment to email not downloadable

Hi guys,

Many thanks for all the help in advance, I’ve this issue where file attachment via contact form 7 in my website send to my email is not downloadable, it just appear something like a word like this below

when it’s suppose to be a downloadable jpg file, but it just appear as a name or word only. I’ve got the form tags right which is why i receive the email with the attachment but instead of an attachment file, all i get is word or name like the above.

I thought might be my server issue, but i change the mail setting in my wordpress to directly send to gmail but the issue remains, any advice or help would be greatly appreciate. Many thanks.

How to insert a link in a checkbox?

reCAPTCHA theme:dark – Not Working

For some strange reason the reCAPTCHA theme:dark shortcode is not working. I have spent hours trying to figure out what is causing the problem and even tried changing the default from Light to Dark in the Contact Form 7 php, but nothing seems to effect it.

No matter what changes I make, the code still shows as rc-anchor-light

My Form Layout:

<label> Your Name (required)
[text* your-name] </label>

<label> Your Email (required)
[email* your-email] </label>

Hey,

when using reCaptcha in a form the reCaptcha javascript file are loaded twice, so i get the error “ReCAPTCHA placeholder element must be empty”.

Because its a core feature and core bug i think you should check why the api is loaded twice.

CF7 mail not send or spam

Hello,

I have 3 forms on my website build with CF7 :

  • Contact
  • Booking (via the show post – takes directly the infos of the show)
  • Booking (via the reservation form – dropdown list of shows)

-> They are all sent on info@mydomain.com

The WP mail SMTP is well configured with my host settings.
CF7 “To”, “From” and Additional header fields are set with info@mydomain.com or noreply@mydomain.com (who considerably exist on my host).

Several issues:

  • The form doesn’t send itself -> error message = spam
  • The form sends but the mail is not received by the recipient. Only the version for the info address.
  • The form and the mails are sent but fall directly into the spam box.

I have done a lot of sending tests from two of my personal addresses and also via mail-tester.com

Mail-tester initially gave me a good result by specifying that a DMARC key was missing on my server and that the DNS was not up to date yet.
I added the DMARC key. I imagine that updating my DNS data will be done on its own.
All other tests proved to be less good. One of them even specified that I was black listed on SORBS via my IP.
About the images, no remark. So, the fact that mails fall into junk box is not related to this.

Anybody help please ?

As stated in this thread , should the forum use a nofollow attribute?

It’d be much obliged if the nowfollow attribute, the site name or url could be removed!

PDF attachment not working

Hi ! Everythink is working fine but the pdf attachement, when I receive them they are like “hashed” ?

I got this kid of message

PHP Warning: Missing argument 3 for wpcf7_special_mail_tag()

No other plugins I have installed reference this function or any related wpcf7 hooks.

I have this code as a plugin:

$post_id always seems to be turning “null”, but it shouldn’t be. I just want to get the post ID for the post where the form was completed. The function is definitely being called since the first addition to the mail body is there.

I am always getting the warning PHP Warning: Missing argument 3 for wpcf7_special_mail_tag(), called in <my file> and defined in <my directory>/includes/mail.php on line 340, referer: <my post>

But I’m clearly specifying 3 parameters. I have no idea what the 3rd one is even supposed to be, but it’s not missing.

Do not clear form on submit

I am trying to prevent a form’s values from clearing after it has been submitted. I found the following code, but that does not seem to work:

    e.preventDefault(); // <-- important

        clearForm: false,
    });
});

Then I found this topic that has the same problem and has a solution that works that involves editing the plugin. I do not want to do that. I tried adding resetForm: false as an option in the above code as well. That too did not work.

Can anyone successfully prevent values from being cleared in the latest version of CF7?

Contact Form 7 with SSL encryption

Hello, my page is currently running (new) over SSL (https). The site came from a live development environment under a test domain (http), ergo not locally via e.g. XAMP.
Currently the page is under the final URL with https (SSL). The difference is, the SSL encryption.
Within the database, the site and home URL and ossdl_off_cdn_url have already been changed.
My problem is that the form does not send. Under the test domain everything works perfectly.
My server is currently running PHP 7
Can someone help me or Has anyone already had this problem and knows the solution?

Contact form 7 integration with Act-On

Hello,

I am trying to connect the Contact Form 7 submissions to an Act-On database and at one point in time the plugin was cooperating and I was able to connect. But, since I updated to the 4.6 version of the plugin, the connection no longer works. I have a version of each setup for your review. You can test by submitting an email into the “Subscribe” field within the form at the top right of the content area.

This site uses version 4.4.2 of Contact Form 7 and the form submits properly to the Act-On services.

CF7 + WPEngine Submission Errors

I set up my Contact Form 7 on my new hosting platform, WP Engine, using the Postman SMTP plugin per their recommendation. Everything was working fine. Today, I receive an email from a prospect saying they got an error message when they pressed submit.

So I tested myself and had two others test – all failed. WP Engine said they couldn’t find anything on their end and suggesting that I contact you for further direction.

Please help as I use this plugin as the direct communication line for prospective customers.

Load CF7 via shortcode on page load

Due to caching issues I do want to load CF7 via jquery after page is loaded.

That’s the way I coded it:

but it broke. Is there a smart way to do that?
