I installed Contact 7 on my test site, which has the same URL as my main site except for the folder on the end, like so: production_site_URL/test_site_folder
The contact form on my test site works fine. The contact form on my production site does not work. I never get an email from the production contact form. The mail does not go to my spam folder or a junk folder. Suggestions?

After some experimentation, I have found that the minlength parameter on a tel field does not work when someone enters a single zero as the telephone number. For example if I use:
[tel* your-phone minlength:8]
and I enter a telephone number of 5 digits and click on Send, I get the error message
The field is too short.
as expected.
But if I enter a telephone number of 0 (just the single digit zero) then click on Send, I do not get this error message. It seems to treat zero as satisfying the “required” nature of the field (tel*) but it does not correctly detect that the number is too short. I have replaced tel* with tel but it still does not detect any error on the length of zero.
Is there some trick so that the field is judged too short when someone just types a single zero?

Hi how do you make a line break between fields. I have a checkbox menu and need to put a line break after it before subject field.
Also i have everything else looking how i want it and it all seems to work but the box is red because of label use.
My question is will everything work ok even with red box?

Suddenly no mail is being sent although i get the green confirmation box that i have successfully sent the message. This happened after the update and is affecting my multiple sites.
I know this plugin is awesome and it’s free but for the first time in years i’m tempted to look for alternatives. I start to lose faith in a plugin after such incidents, can someone help please?
I have followed all the basic setup documentation and as i said everything was working well before the wordpress update.

I am a regular user of your wordpress plugin Contact Form 7 and I have come across an issue a couple of times where when I go to test the website contact form using your plugin it wont work with all email addresses. I have had problems getting the contact form through to the email above (sales@tgclawnmowers.co.uk) and also to an @aol.com email. Am I doing something wrong or does your plugin restrict what email address it works with?
I would be very grateful if you could get back to me asap as I really dont want to change to another plugin. I like using yours!

I set up your (amazing) plugin but I have to implement, in additional setting, the code of Google Analytics for tracking the submission events.
But GA doesn’t tracking the events and than (furthermore the form, if Iput the code in additional setting doesn’t stamp in a browser the string -es.- “ok thanks, email submit “)
I put, in additional setting, the right code:
on_sent_ok: “ga(‘send’, ‘event’, ‘CF7 Form’, ‘Submission’, ‘Contact Page’);”
with the same label in Google Analytics for tracking Goals – but doesn’t works.
Plugin, theme and wp are update at the most recently version, have any idea?

I let the CF7 form create a new post with “wp_insert_post” and the function: “add_action(‘wpcf7_before_send_mail’, ‘wpcf7_to_post’,1);”
This works fine, posts are created, even the confirming emails are sent.
But, when firing the function, the response message (“Your message was sent successfully”) on the form page does not work any more when clicking the submit button – without the function (unset in functions.php), the response message is shown correctly. How can I get both getting to work, the post creation AND the submission message on the form?

I have a contact form on my website located here http://cizzurp215.com/consulting/ and in Google Chrome when I add a file to upload I get the following error – This file type is not allowed. Please try another.
When I go to the same url in Microsoft Edge it uploads just fine.
Is there any specific reason why this is happening in Chrome? I had a friend upload in Safari with no issues. Firefox works as well. I have searched and saw nothing on this specific topic.

My contact form 7 sends everything correctly to two email addresses on my PC. I also need to have a text sent to my flip phone. To do this, under the header field in the mail tab, I use bcc:111-111-1111@vtext.com (a phone number transmitted by Verizon). I get the message and all the fields display except under message body, there it is generally empty except for showing the date and time. I’m also getting a duplicate text message that displays all empty fields even though I’m using the Bcc on only one mail recipient. In summary, if I was using a smartphone this wouldn’t be an issue but a smartphone would probably get damaged with what I do.

i got a problem. For Contact Form 7 is use the google recaptcha integration.
All the time there have been pictures which the user has to click on to submit is text.
But now there is only a tick to set. Then the text can be submitted.
Now i het a lot of spam mails.
What has happen here?

Hi,
I use Bing ads and Adwords to generate traffic. I would like to track the sending of the Contact Form as event in Google analytics.
I was able to implement this for the adwords via the:
on_sent_ok: “ga(‘send’, ‘event’,’Kontaktformular’, ‘sent’);”
Does anybody know how I could implement the same as well for the Bing ads?

Hi,
I added a form to my site, and chose a placeholder text for the fields.
If I didn’t filled a mandatory field, an error message appears and all the placeholder text in all the fields is disappear.
So you don’t know what to fill in every field.
Someone can please help me.

Hi!,
This is my first post to this forum.
I’ve been working with my webpage in localhost and i’ve just uploaded it to the host via ftp. Everything seems to work fine but the goddamn contact form. I have no clue what can be causing problems because in localhost works perfectly.
I am using Contact Form 7 and a plugin called WP SMTP to configure the emails. The error message are surrounded with a red borderline and says it is a mail server trouble. Does anybody know what could be the difference that causes this problem in my web host and not in localhost?

I have a contact form configured to omit lines in which a tag is blank.
This setting seems to apply to the subject line as well. I am using Contact Forms for a feedback form in which a person’s name is optional. The subject line of the email is configured as:
2017 Advice [your-name]
When the person declines to include their name, the subject line is blanked entirely.
Expected behavior: the “omit lines with blank tags” setting should apply only to body text, and not to the subject line

This behavior also happens with the FROM: field. I just noticed that even though my contact form should be sending email FROM: special-email-address@mydomain, it is in fact sending email FROM: my default WordPress FROM: address in cases where the tag in the FROM: field is blank.
My FROM: field is configured as:
[your-name] <special-email-address@mydomain>
For messages where [your-name] is blank, this apparently gets blanked out.
Removing the tag from the FROM: field causes all emails to be sent FROM: special-email-adrdess@mydomain, as expected.
