Contact form 7 loading script not working

result invalidate not working properly

I am trying to make a custom validation function for a checkbox, but I am unable to set the error message. I’ve stepped through the code, and it seems that whenever the error message is set, then the invalidate function just returns. Here is the code:

$tag = new WPCF7_Shortcode( $tag );
$result->invalidate( $tag, $errorMessage);

If the message is already set, then the invalidate function won’t set the new error message.

	public function is_valid( $name = null ) {
		if ( ! empty( $name ) ) {
			return ! isset( $this->invalid_fields[$name] );
		} else {
			return empty( $this->invalid_fields );
		}
	}

Reply To Address not Working?

I set up an email to use Reply-To:[your-email] (this field is from the contact form text field user’s fill out) as an additional header. Unfortunately, there are two things wrong with this:

#1: ‘WordPress’ title is being used in the FROM address. How to change?
#2: When a user clicks ‘Reply’ in their email app, it turns up blank. The ‘To’ does not populate with the user’s email address.

Feature Request: Dynamic Fields from Shortcode attributes

Hi,

great plugin!

however it would be useful to be able to pass default values into the shortcode eg
[contact-form-7 id="209" title="Contact form" your-subject="some dynamic value"]

and then in the WP admin I would add eg
[text* your-subject default]

thanks

make contactform easy changeable

Hey there,

I face a small challenge:
My customer wants to offer different seminars and wants to make the “sign up” for the seminars via a contact form.

I planed to do it with checkboxes, so you can select which seminar(s) you want to visit. Since the offered seminars change alot, I search for an easy way how I can add/remove checkboxes depending on the currently offered seminars.

Is there a way I can configure the shown contactform and the E-mail which will be sent in an easy way? (the customer isn´t that good as technician, so letting him change the “contactformcode” in the backend won´t be a solution. There needs to be something easy like “fields” which say which “words/seminars” should be offered in the backend)

I´m happy for any tips. Maybe it´s helpfull to tell: I got a ACF pro license, so maybe that comes in handy here.

Greetings
Marcel

Sending local attachments programmatically

Hi all,

I’ve this ‘quite deep’ question. I see and checked the feature for sending a local attachment by specifying the server filename in the “File Attachments” field of the “Mail” box. Yes, it works. I would like to know if and how send the file name programmatically. I tried different solutions (as for example by inserting a [file-name] previously valorised, instead of “/path/to/file”, or by using hidden fields), but I didn’t find a proper way.

First of all, is it possible?

Thank you very much,
–Carlo

emails are sent to mailserver but get marked as ” read” right away?

Hi!
I have been working on a website from a friend. I’m a WP beginner, so I only use some simple plugins. My “area of expertise” is marketing and online advertising and I have set up some advertising campaigns for them.
I’ve recently added a facebook tracking pixel to CF7 to keep track of conversions. So far so good.
Only, i’ve just heard that emails don’t get delivered the same way they used to, and it started around the time I made some changes in their wp site.

The situation is that emails do get sent, and arrive at the server, but are then immediatly marked as “read”. Since my friend uses POP to send emails to a device or pc, the emails don’t get “pushed” to his device. He thought it was weird when he didn’t received any emails for a few days.

He can access and read them via webmail, but for them this means that they probably missed a few bookings (they own a hotel) because of this.

My first thought was: I can’t have created this error, can I?

With my basic knowledge of servers, I think that since the emails do arrive at the server, the problem lies withe the server, or with the settings on his device. And not with CF7.

But just to be sure: is there anything I cloud have done that has created this situation?

The only things I have done: activate the plugin “insert headers & footers” (to add analytics and facebook tracking code to each page) and have added a tracking pixel to the submission button in CF7.

I haven’t touched the email server or settings.

I hope someone can tell me what the problem might be!

Thanks in advance.

Console error because of reCAPTCHA

Hello there.
I’ve used this plugin multiple times and it’s amazing, however my reCAPTCHA this time is not working properly.
I always get an error from the console:

Uncaught Error: ReCAPTCHA placeholder element must be empty
    at ho (recaptcha__en.js:294)
    at recaptcha__en.js:299
    at Me (recaptcha__en.js:55)
    at recaptcha__en.js:298
    at recaptcha__en.js:378

I’ve looked all over the plugin website for documentation on how to deal with this error, but I couldn’t find it. Is there anything that can be done about this.
Thank you.

“Error sending your message” with orange border. I am not spam

Hello! I got an email from a client that they were unable to contact me using the form on my website. I went online to test the 2 forms being used, and neither of them work.

I get the “There was an error trying to send your message. Please try again later.” message with an orange border. I saw under the FAQ that this means the message is suspected to be spam. I am not spam. I tried using another browser (IE) to see if that made a difference. It did not. I know that this particular form was working last Friday (Jan 13, 2017). (Browser: FireFox, also using plugin “Contact Form 7 – reCAPTCHA”)

With the second form, I simply get “Please try again” (This form is not using plugin “Contact Form 7 – reCAPTCHA”)

Any advice or help would be appreciated!
Meri

Currently the cf7 form will pass html comments <!-- --> as form content and wrap it in <p></p> elements. It would be nice if the plugin would ignore these comments and let them appear as is in the final html form. Comments are useful to maintain large forms

Multiple Select Dropdown “Size” Attribute (Number of Visible Options)

$

Replies: 0

I would love to be able to select the “size” attribute of select elements in HTML somehow with this plugin, which would allow me to customize the number of visible options in the drop-down list (whether single- or multi-select).

There is more info and a working example here:
http://www.w3schools.com/TAGS/att_select_size.asp

An example for why you would need this, is if you want to specify the height of your multiple-select dropdown by the amount of options you want to show, instead of having to adjust the CSS in your theme to display the height in pixels (which requires knowledge of the CSS being used to style the select element and it’s options, a different class for each different number of options in each different select element (pre-added to the CSS), and of course calculating the right value to put in the CSS).

You would just have to add this bit in, which would perfectly take care of everything:

If a user selects “Allow multiple selections” in the form-tag generator options box popup for “drop-down menu” (when clicked from the toolbar), you would simply detect that, and a new set of radio buttons would appear, for “Number of visible options [textbox]” or “Display ALL select options” (which would calculate the number of options in the select element, and set the “size” attribute to that number).

The default is “1” if single-select, and “4” if multi-select.

Here is the code difference you would be outputting:

<select multiple="multiple" name="weekdays[]">
	<option value="Sunday">Sunday</option>
	<option value="Monday">Monday</option>
	<option value="Tuesday">Tuesday</option>
	<option value="Wednesday">Wednesday</option>
	<option value="Thursday">Thursday</option>
	<option value="Friday">Friday</option>
	<option value="Saturday">Saturday</option>
</select>

vs.

<select multiple="multiple" name="weekdays[]" size="7">
	<option value="Sunday">Sunday</option>
	<option value="Monday">Monday</option>
	<option value="Tuesday">Tuesday</option>
	<option value="Wednesday">Wednesday</option>
	<option value="Thursday">Thursday</option>
	<option value="Friday">Friday</option>
	<option value="Saturday">Saturday</option>
</select>

Thanks for looking!
