Dear All,
I am a big fan of your CF7 plugin and I use it on most of the sites I build for my clients. Most of them are based in Europe and are public entities. They ask specifically not to use google reCaptcha for DGPR privacy protection non compliance. So I use the combo : Simple reCaptcha + Honeypot + Akismet anti-spam parameters, and Flamingo.
But I keep having a notification alert “Unsafe email config is used without sufficient protection.” in the email section of my forms admin, since I want to send a confirmation email to my visitors (by using [email] variable in the To: field of the email).
How can I satisfy the CF7 plugin security without using google reCaptcha service ?

Uncaught ReferenceError: grecaptcha is not defined on Firefox

Hello,
I have a problem with Uncaught ReferenceError: grecaptcha is not defined error on firefox. It is not showing on chrome. I tried disabling all plugins but the problem is still there. Changed theme but the problem is still there.
The problem don’t exist if I’m logged in

Hi We have had to disable Google Recaptcha 3 on our form as the entire website kept flickering (resetting) when we had it enabled on Contact Form 7

After submit – how can I customise?

I’ve been using CF7 for many years. I love it – it’s brilliant.
Apart from one thing: the message you get after a form is submitted.
IMHO, the page should be cleared and a BIG message saying ‘Form Submitted’ should be displayed.
Are there plugins that allow me to customise this part? I’m guessing there must be.

wpcf7submit fires with invalid inputs

when clicking submit, if the text fields are invalid, the website shows the message “One or more fields have an error. Please check and try again.”, but the event wpcf7submit is fired anyway.

Recaptcha causing – “There was an error trying to send”

On a website I have, Contact form 7 fails to work when Recaptcha3 is activated on it, it doesn’t matter if you rewind the CF7 plug in or the version of WP.
It was only after a LOT of updating, rewinding, deactivating on all elements (including WP version and Divi Builder version) I realised it fails as soon as I integrate reCaptcha. Obviously all caching is deactivated while trying to resolve this.
I have even deleted the old Google Keys and made new ones but it just will not work with with Recaptcha activated on CF7. There is no error provided apart from “There was an error trying to send your message. Please try again later.”
The API has been triple checked for spelling and formatting mistakes, there are no errors, there never have been and it was working perfectly one day with the old settings then failing the next. Which leads me to believe there have been updates to how the API for ReCaptcha works and CF7 needs to adapt to these?
Please let me know if anyone has found a solution to this, I don’t want to have to start replacing CF7 on all my websites.

Persistent Failure Notices for MEC notifications

We’ve been experiencing an issue with email confirmation notices when people book into events on our website using Modern Events Calendar Pro. We are getting failure notices saying sender rejected or blocked.
Our IT provider says it’s an issue with the contact forms, but I’m not sure how as nothing is coming through a contact form for it (I’m not technical though, so I probably don’t understand how it all links up). I’ve been asked to find out the answers to the following about Contact Form 7, but not sure how I would do this. Would anyone know the answers, or let us know that we’re barking up the wrong tree?
1. Is 188.240.191.12 their IP Address?
2. Have they had any notifications with the following error? Remote host said: 550 5.7.1 Unfortunately, messages from [188.240.191.12] weren’t sent. Please contact your Internet service provider since part of their network is on our block list (S3140)

No Log entry for Error when sending Mail

When sending a Mail the Form displays the error message corresponding to “Sender’s message failed to send”.
However, neither browser console nor the WordPress log list any error that seem to correspond to this. Is there another way I could find out what the reason for the error could be?

Flamingo / WordPress Multi-Site Export

I have a 50+ site multisite built on WordPress, CF7, and Flamingo.
I need to export the site contact forms manually once a month but it involves navigating to each site and exporting manually and it’s quite complex.
I also have multiple fields that are different on each site which adds complexity.
Is there a way to automate this or to export from every site at the same time?

Contact form requests are not received by email

The form works, we receive contact requests in the WordPress back-office but we no longer receive requests by email directly.
However, we have clearly indicated the emails to which we want to receive contact requests.
Can you help us with this? This is a very urgent matter for our company.

Accessibility improvements to the plugin

I am a web accessibility consultant, and I’m using your contact forms on my site. I really like the plugin, but I would like to help you make it more accessible. I have hacked it a little bit with CSS to improve accessibility, but there are a few simple things that need to be done to the plugin itself. You can see one of my forms in the link above.
What I did: hid the duplicate response/error message with css. There is no need for two of them, and the response should be at the top of the form, not the bottom where it can be missed.
A few simple things that would be a major improvement:
- If there are no errors or messages, there should not be empty list items, as it is invalid HTML
- When the form is submitted, set focus on the response at the top of the form so the keyboard user can reach the errors and tab to the fields below
- Include the form label text in the error rather than making them generic. Example: “The first name field is required”
- Place both the error message and specific errors in the live region, not just the message. Example:

<p>One or more fields have an error. Please check and try again.</p>
