Bage on "[Plugin: Contact Form 7] Date field and Placeholder text."

I am using the latest version of the contact form 7 plugin and trying to use the relatively new inbuilt date picker filed.

My only issues is, I am not able to use the placeholder text with date field. It just displays "dd/mm/yyyy" as the placeholder text.

I would appreciate any help on fixing this issue.
