coconurtaler on "[Plugin: Contact Form 7] where to put border-collapse for table in form email"

Hi I have a form here http://www.t8ts.co.uk/wpt8ts/prices/
which is working fine. But I have a table in the message body for the quantity, part number and description in the email and I don't like the borders. I.d like to use
table
{
border-collapse:collapse;
}
and have tried putting it in the CSS for the child theme but it didn't make any difference.
It's not really a big problem as the form does work but I'd prefer the layout with collapsed borders.
Any ideas?
