The first priority is to find out if WordPress has a cache or something similar
WordPress does not cache anything by default. Have you spoken to your hosts to ask if they are filtering the emails at their end? Since the forum is delivering emails to your gmail account, this does not appear to be a WordPress or CF7 issue.
